Conveyor - general information

AABO has wide-ranging experience in transporting goods within finishing plants using various types of conveyor system.

In the design of a finishing system, the logistical aspect may often be just as important as – or in some cases even more important than – the technical aspect. AABO has therefore built up specialised expertise in the use of many different types of transport system, including all types of ‘overhead’ conveyor systems. At AABO, we also use crane, floor and roller conveyor systems in the design of our customer-/product-specific finishing systems. 

Some of our solutions are described below. These include:  


Single conveyor

A single conveyor system is a transport system built up around a cardan chain running on a C-profile. Special bends allow the cardan chain to run in both a horizontal and vertical direction. The chain is operated by one or more driving units and is able to handle a load of up to 100 kilos per metre of chain. Single conveyor systems are usually designed for continuous, but variable processing speeds of up to 10 metres/minute. Processing chains are available with pitches of 180, 270 or 360 mm between suspension points.

Power & Free

A “Power & Free” conveyor system consists of a number of suspended carriers which run automatically through the finishing plant. The “Power & Free” conveyor system differs from the single conveyor principle in that each carrier is programmable for specific processing tasks. Various processing speeds may also be applied to the finishing plants.

Manual conveyor

Where automatic transport of goods is not required, AABO also offers manually operated conveyor systems.  These systems have shown their value on many building projects where capacity requirements are low, but flexibility requirements are high. AABO’s manual conveyor systems are designed for all types of goods and can be dimensioned for unit weights of up to 2,000 kilos.
